Title devised by cataloger
Oliver Johnson informs William Lloyd Garrison that it will inconvenient at best, and impossible at worse, for him to join Garrison at his "Reception of Thompson". Johnson states that he would find it a pity for Thompson to make his first appearance under anything but the "right auspices", and urges Garrison that Boston find a role for him other than "merely as a lecturer" so as to present an example to their fellow society chapters
